Although there are so many ways to cook potatoes, we don't know of any; a simple baked potato is considered the best. And yet, here it comes air Fryer Baked Potato. The air fryer is my favorite way to bake potatoes.

Even the Air Fryer Has Its Benefits

  • Because it bakes potatoes in a tidy area, the air fryer keeps the heat in your kitchen down.
  • While the potatoes cook in your regular oven, you can continue to use them for other things.
  • The air-fryer is much faster than the traditional oven.
  • Air frying is a healthy option for potatoes because it uses less oil.

  1. The Types of Potato To Use

Yukon-gold potatoes are my favorite type of potato, but this is not an ideal time to use them in any of my recipes.

Russet potatoes are better than any other type of potato. They have firmer, thicker skin than their yellow- or red counterparts.

They are sturdy enough to withstand the high heat required to obtain that classic light and fluffy inside and crispy outside potato.

  1. Size of the Potatoes

Size does matter. This recipe was created with medium-sized potatoes in mind.

Perhaps you are now wondering what constitutes a medium size potato. A medium potato can be defined as one that weighs approximately 7-8 ounces.

In order to cook the proper time for this recipe, it's important to pay attention to the center diameter.

At their thickest, medium potatoes should measure 2.25 to 3.25 inches. It is possible to use a flexible tape measure to determine the size. But the most important thing is to ensure that potatoes are the same thickness.

You can certainly make larger potatoes with an air fryer. Increase the cooking time.

The required cooking time for potatoes with smaller sizes will be shorter.

Air Fryer uses a basket that can be opened and checked for doneness with a knife.

  1. Oil the Potatoes

To get crispy skin on your baked potato in air fryer, apply oil to their skins before baking.

Make sure you use high-heat oil. We prefer the avocado oil, but olive or grapeseed oils are equally effective.

It is best to avoid using extra virgin oil. This oil has a lower smoke point and may cause excess smoke to be released from your air fryer.

  1. Season of the Potatoes

Keep the seasoning simple. After you have rubbed the potatoes with oil, sprinkle coarse sea salt on the potatoes' exterior.

Once the chicken is cooked, season them with butter, salt, pepper, and any other seasonings you like.

You can also make extra potatoes for your morning breakfast. They make the most delicious home fries. Remove the skin from the potatoes, chop them and fry them in a skillet.
